African Academy of Sciences’ Mentorship Programme

The African Academy of Sciences (AAS) has set up a Mentorship Programme to match early and mid-career African researchers with experienced scholars and professionals globally.

The mentorship programme provides a platform where the young researchers are guided and supported to thrive in their careers and, ultimately, to become the next generation of research leaders. Additionally, the programme provides an opportunity to the mentors to contribute to Africa’s research and innovation capacity strengthening in contribution to the transformation of Africa into being a knowledge-based and innovation-led continent.

The AAS invites experienced professionals to join its Mentorship Programme as Mentors and support talented early-career researchers across Africa. You can join the AAS Mentorship Programme to inspire others, share knowledge, and drive change through the Mentorship Programme portal.

Expressions of interest from eligible mentors should be sent by Friday 30 September 2023 at 17:00 East African Time (GMT +3).
