ERINHA has contributed to the 10th European Meeting on Viral Zoonoses (EMVZ) that took place in Saint Raphaël, France from the 23rd to the 26th September 2023.
The meeting has gathered several scientists from Europe and international working on emerging zoonoses, including researchers from both ERINHA’s members and ISIDORe’s partners institutions.
The scientific programme included a rich overview of the most recent observations on zoonotic viruses, most of them being part of the ERINHA scientific portfolio, such as highly pathogenic agents (Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever Virus, Nipah virus, etc…), arboviruses (e.g., Rift Valley Fever Virus, West Nile Virus, Tick-Borne Encephalitis Virus, etc..), respiratory viruses (e.g., avian flu), rodent-borne viruses, from epidemiological up to basic fundamental research studies.
A presentation on ISIDORe has been done during the Session ´Prevention and Control’. The actions on both responsiveness and preparedness and the first outcomes have been described, with a special focus on the synergy that a unique consortium such ISIDORe has permitted to establish ambitious research studies on emerging zoonotic viruses with a One Health approach.
